Georgia is already playing host to the nation’s top safety in 2024, but as usual, the Dawgs are always looking toward the future, made clear by a key visit on Thursday.

The Dawgs will be playing host to the top cornerback in the Class of 2025 as Parker (Birmingham, Alabama) defensive back Na’Eeem Offord has confirmed a plan to see Georgia on Thursday to DawgsHQ.

Ranked as the nation’s No. 1 cornerback and No. 6 overall prospect per the On3 Industry Ranking, Offord was offered by the Dawgs on March 31 and is wasting no time in getting to campus to see what Georgia has to offer.

Prior to receiving the offer, Offord told On3’s Chad Simmons it was an opportunity he would relish and used strong words in describing his feelings toward Georgia.

“It’ll mean a lot me,” Offord said to Simmons. “They’re the Bulldogs, the No. 1 team and it’s my dream school. They have been showing interest, and they want me to come over and visit.”

Currently, the Bulldogs hold the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in both 2024 and 2025, as well as the commitments of two highly-rated cornerbacks for the Class of 2024.

Commit Ellis Robinson is ranked as the nation’s No. 1 cornerback for the Class of 2024, and athlete Demello Jones, who is considered a cornerback by Georgia’s staff, is currently ranked as the No. 97 overall prospect in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking.

The Dawgs hold no defensive back commits in the Class of 2025, but it’s safe to say Offord is the type of prospect they’d love to have on their side when the time comes.

On3 Scouting Report on Na’Eem Offord

“Twitchy, highly coordinated athlete who projects as one of the top defensive back prospects in the 2025 cycle. Has plus stature and length, measuring in at close to 6-foot-1, 180-pounds with a 6-foot-7 wing-span prior to his junior season. Registered as one of the top athletes on the spring camp circuit, posting an 11’1″ broad jump and an electronically-timed 4.59 second 40-yard dash (pulled up midway through) at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp. Is a two-way star on Friday nights, making plays on offense as a receiver and ball carrier while doubling as a cornerback. Rarely tested on defense, but shows his considerable athleticism and plus ball skills on offense. Very fluid and surprisingly polished in defensive back drills in the camp setting. Looks to have notable upside at defensive back once he focuses on the position full-time.” – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
