Nation's No. 1 player QB Dylan Raiola commits to Georgia
Dylan Raiola will be a Georgia Bulldog.
The nation’s No. 1 quarterback, No. 1 overall prospect per the On3 Industry Ranking, and Five-Star Plus+ prospect has announced his commitment to Georgia today via social media.
Credit goes to the entire staff, but offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, in particular, was a major component in the decision.
“He always sends me, my mom and my dad a devotional every morning,” Raiola told On3’s Chad Simmons of Bobo in March. “That means a lot coming from him. He’s just a ball coach. He builds relationships with his players and he just loves talking ball, loves having the guys over at his house. He’s very open with his communication with his players.”
Kirby Smart, however, also played a key role in Raiola’s decision to choose the Bulldogs.
“I think you start top down with coach Smart and his leadership and what he’s done for that program,” Raiola said at that time. “Coming from Alabama, he knows how to win. He knows how to develop young men and get all of his coaches around him as great people, which reflects on his leadership. The coaches are super genuine and the relationships are very real.”

With the commitment of Raiola, Georgia is back atop the 2024 rankings for the cycle.
He joins fellow five-star prospect Ellis Robinson, four-star quarterback Ryan Puglisi, as well as a host of eight other four-star prospects in the Georgia Class of 2024.
On3 Scouting Report on Dylan Raiola
“Advanced arm talent with the ability to make a wide variety of high-level throws as a high school signal-caller. Looks like the top quarterback prospect and overall arm talent in the 2024 cycle early on. Physically developed at around 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. Has a natural, loose throwing motion with unique arm dexterity to deliver off-platform and from multiple arm slots. Has a deep catalog of throws as a rising senior in high school. Easily drives the ball to all levels of the field. Played both under center and in the shotgun as a junior. Ahead of the curve as a ball-handler and in the quick passing game. Shows good footwork and awareness in the pocket. Capable of creative plays in the face of pressure. Primarily a pass-first quarterback as a junior, not running for many yards. Turned in one of the more productive junior seasons among top 2024 quarterbacks. The son of 14-year NFL center Dominic Raiola. Also a standout baseball player as a pitcher and catcher.” – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
