The second injury/availability reports are out for No. 2 Georgia at No. 4 Alabama and the news is that there is no news. UGA’s seven-man list looks almost exactly the same as it did on Wednesday. The same can be said for Alabama’s three-man list.

Georgia will be without sophomore wideout London Humphreys (illness), senior right guard Tate Ratledge (knee and ankle), and redshirt freshman running back Roderick Robinson (toe). All three are still listed as out for the game.

Humphreys and Ratledge both played in the Bulldogs last game. Ratledge suffered a sprained MCL and a high-ankle sprain that required tight-rope surgery. He’s likely out until after the Bulldogs next bye week at the end of October. Humphreys is reportedly battling mononucleosis.

Three Bulldogs are questionable and the group includes some potential key players. Junior EDGE Mykel Williams (ankle) is still in the mix to play according to Thursday’s report and the same goes for sophomore defensive tackle Jordan Hall (shins). Both are very close and a “game-time decision” tag come Saturday seems likely.

Williams saw 20 snaps in Georgia’s season-opening shellacking of Clemson, tallying two tackles for loss. He has not played since but did get back on the practice field this week. Hall missed all of preseason camp and the first couple weeks of the 2024 season before getting on the practice field. Freshman wideout Sacovie White is the only one in the doubtful category.

Super senior defensive lineman Warren Brinson is listed as probable. He saw action on just three plays this season before getting stepped on and exiting. The Savannah, Ga. native missed most of preseason camp with an achilles injury, too. Brinson’s return is significant for the a Georgia defensive line that has leaned heavily on Nazir Stackhouse and Christen Miller on the interior. Redshirt freshman defensive tackle Xavier McLeod made his UGA debut against Kentucky and tallied 15 snaps.

SEC schools are required to release injury/availability reports on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday prior to league games. Each of Alabama’s three players are listed as probable. The list includes linebackers Jeremiah Alexander and Qua Russaw along with running back Richard Young.
