The latest, and final, version of the On300 for the Class of 2022 was released earlier on Monday with Georgia signees and commits all over the board. In total, 17 of the Bulldogs’ 27 members of the class were ranked in the top 300 with two players that dropped out. Heading into the February signing period, Georgia sits with the No. 3 class in the country behind SEC foes Texas A&M and Alabama. A&M has 20 players ranked while Alabama has 22.

Mykel Williams (DL)

New Ranking: No. 2 (Previously ranked No. 4)

Williams, an early enrollee and expected participant in spring practice with the Bulldogs come March, now comes in as the highest ranked Georgia player after a strong showing at the Adidas All-American Bowl. He had three tackles for loss for the East team to go along with his 81 tackles including 20.5 for loss and 12.5 sacks during his senior season. Williams was recently named National Defensive High School Player of the Year by the Maxwell Football Club.

Malaki Starks (S)

New Ranking: No. 21 (Previously ranked No. 10)

Georgia’s highest ranked player according to the On3 Consensus Rankings, Starks is seen across the industry as a player that can do it all. He’s listed as a safety but also played on offense for Jefferson High School. Expected to play defensive back in college, Starks could be a fixture in the Bulldogs’ secondary rotation next fall.

Marvin Jones Jr. (EDGE)

New Ranking: No. 25 (Previously ranked No. 1)

Like Williams, Jones Jr. showed why he’s one of the top players in the country at the Adidas All-American Game. The two met at the quarterback to combine for a sack like Georgia fans are hopeful will happen numerous times over the next couple of years. Jones Jr. was a late addition to the Bulldogs’ class but certainly could be in for early playing time in 2022 with depth at outside linebacker being a question mark.

Daylen Everette (CB)

New Ranking: No. 45 (Previously ranked No. 7)

Georgia will lose Derion Kendrick to the NFL Draft plus two more cornerbacks to date to the transfer portal. That makes the haul of young defensive backs even more important. Everette comes in as the highest ranked of the three corners Kirby Smart and company signed with his ideal combination of length and speed for the position.

Earnest Greene (IOL)

New Ranking: No. 68 (Previously ranked No. 141)

Greene made news at the Adidas All-American Game by committing to Georgia during the game on NBC. And while his announcement caught attention, his play did too. Showing versatility by playing left tackle on top of his projection on the interior, Greene could be Georgia’s next version of Jamaree Salyer. He will be taking part in Polynesian Bowl activities this week.

Jaheim Singletary (CB)

New Ranking: No. 71 (Previously ranked No. 40)

Like was mentioned before with Everette, Georgia’s defensive back room has gotten seemingly thinner and thinner each and every year. This class is supposed to change that to an extent, and Singletary is a part of that. His length and ball skills should translate over to college and help in the transition to the next level.

Jalon Walker (LB)

New Ranking: No. 74 (Previously ranked No. 65)

Georgia had a winner of the Butkus Award this season in Nakobe Dean. The Bulldogs also had a finalist for the high school version of the award in Walker. And with the likes of Dean, Quay Walker and Channing Tindall off to the NFL, co-defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann could be looking towards the freshmen for help this fall.

Bear Alexander (DL)

New Ranking: No. 76 (Previously ranked No. 41)

Alexander isn’t an exact replica of Jordan Davis, but at 6-foot-2.5 and 315 pounds, there are certainly reasons he reminds folks of him. Davis’ departure leaves a hole in the middle of the Georgia defensive line that a guy like Alexander could be asked to fill. He was all over the place in high school transferring from one school to another and battling eligibility issues along the way, however he’ll look to settle down in Athens and establish a role.

Darris Smith (EDGE)

New Ranking: No. 80 (Previously ranked No. 112)

Smith is the biggest riser among Georgia players, jumping 32 spots into the top-100. Waiting until February to sign, Smith won’t be on campus until the summer. That’s okay because many see him as more of a developmental piece in the outside linebackers room. However, if the rankings are any indication, Smith might be able to surprise some people when he arrives in Athens.

Oscar Delp (TE)

New Ranking: No. 97 (Previously ranked No. 82)

Georgia fans saw the instant impact that a freshman tight end could have this season with Brock Bowers and are certainly hopeful that Delp can come in and contribute even half as much in 2022. Like Bowers, Delp is a new-age tight end. He’s not necessarily just a blocker – that’s not to say he can’t do it though. Delp is at his best when split out like a wide receiver, using his 6-foot-4.5, 225 pound frame to create mismatches.
