It’s a big recruiting weekend in Athens with the annual scavenger hunt event, and several of Georgia’s top prospects got the day started early. Five-star plus+ quarterback commit Dylan Raiola, the No. 1 overall player in the country for the Class of 2024 according to the On3 Industry Ranking, gathered a couple at local Jefferson High School to spend time together on the field before they do so off the field the rest of the day.

DawgsHQ’s Jake Rowe was on hand and able to snap a few pictures. He breaks down the action for you here. Below are the photos to give you a visual of what went down Saturday morning in Jefferson.

Advanced arm talent with the ability to make a wide variety of high-level throws as a high school signal-caller. Was identified as a top arm talent and quarterback in the 2024 cycle early on in his high school career. Physically developed at around 6-foot-3, 230 pounds. Has continued to add mass later on in his high school career. Owns a natural, loose throwing motion with arm dexterity to deliver off-platform and from multiple arm slots. Showed a deep catalog of throws as a sophomore. Easily drives the ball to all levels of the field. Played both under center and in the shotgun as a junior. Ahead of the curve as a ball-handler and in the quick passing game. Shows good footwork and awareness in the pocket. Capable of creative plays in the face of pressure. Primarily a pass-first quarterback as a junior, not running for many yards and finishing with -82 yards rushing – an anomaly for a top quarterback prospect. Will need to show more mobility and playmaking ability. Transferred to his third high school prior to his senior season. The son of 14-year NFL center Dominic Raiola. Also a standout baseball player as a pitcher and catcher. – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting

The most productive and athletic wide receiver in high school football as a sophomore. Turned in an utterly dominant season in 2022. Measured around 6-foot, 160 pounds in the spring following his sophomore season. One of the fastest wideouts in the nation, regardless of class. Posted a scintillating 10.49 second 100-meter time early on in his sophomore track season. A legitimate state title contender in four track events – the 100, 200, 400 meters and high jump. Shows the ability to harness his elite speed on the football field. A big-time deep threat who easily runs past defensive backs. Has high-end change of direction and breaks off cornerbacks with agility within his routes. Caught 88 passes for 1,641 yards and 24 touchdowns, ran for 700 yards and 15 touchdowns on 57 rushes (12.3 yards per carry), returned two punts for touchdowns and passed for a score while leading his high school to a state title as a sophomore. Was named Alabama’s Gatorade Player of the Year following the historic season. Was the On3 MVP at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp prior to his junior season. Looks like one of the top pass-catchers in high school football regardless of class and is the top wide receiver prospect from Alabama since Henry Ruggs III. Will need to continue adding strength and mass to his slender frame. – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting

Fluid route-runner who wins with ball tracking and creating yards after the catch. Shows excellent body control and balance in his route running and at the catch point. Solid production as a sophomore with 40 catches for 856 yards and 13 touchdowns for one of the top high school programs in Georgia. Three-sport athlete that jumped a 5’10” high jump in 2021 who also plays basketball. All-around skill set for the position who will continue to improve as he physically develops into his frame. – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting

Sacovie White – WR – Cartersville, Ga. – Georgia Commit (’24)

Sammy Brown – LB – Jefferson, Ga. – Uncommitted (’24)

A physical freak of nature whose athletic ability is off the charts. Stands in at 6-foot-2.5, 225 pounds with a 6-foot-6 wingspan. Jumped a 34-inch vertical and 10-foot-1 broad jump during the spring camp circuit prior to his junior season. Ran some mind-boggling track times during his sophomore track and field season with a 10.70 100m, a 21.81 200m and jumped a 22-foot-2 long jump as well. The athleticism translates to the field with his ability to chase down ball carriers from sideline to sideline popping off the screen as well as his long speed as a ball carrier. High upside prospect whose athletic ability alone makes him a borderline lock as a NFL draft pick. – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting
