ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia was in full pads for the first time this fall on Tuesday, and media was able to observe about 15 minutes of practice. Jake Rowe has you covered with a written practice report, but if you want to see some for yourself, DawgsHQ also has some of our top photos from the viewing period below…

We start with the head coach who was ready to roll on the microphone. Whether it was asking specific players to be the leaders of their position groups or generally calling the team a bunch of “Tickle Me Elmos” during the early portions of practice, nobody was escaping the wrath of Kirby Smart on Tuesday.

Offensive lineman Earnest Greene (71) was among those that Smart specifically asked to lead, and he was leading by example with a celebratory dance move seen above during drills with Stacy Searels. Pictured below is freshman Jahzare Jackson (64), who Georgia added late in the summer in the Class of 2024 after the former Overtime Elite basketball prospect decided pursuing football was his best option.

Georgia’s running backs have been the big story of fall camp so far with Nate Frazier (3) making noise on the first day and Branson Robinson (22) returning to the field after an injury this time last year. They join Trevor Etienne (1) and Roderick Robinson (0) who impressed this spring and were always expected to be the Bulldogs’ top two options. Cash Jones (32) was the first to go through drills for the group, setting an example as the most experienced player – at least in Georgia’s system. Frazier donned a black non-contact jersey on Tuesday but seemed to be a full participant in drills.

You’ve seen a lot of Georgia’s offense in the pictures so far, but the defense was out there as well. Defensive backs went into the indoor facility for their individual drills – thus making them harder to observe or take photos of – but the linebackers and defensive linemen caught our eye.

Jalon Walker (11) is often a point of discussion when it comes to his usage in Georgia’s defense. The do-it-all linebacker spent the media viewing portion with the outside linebackers and is seen in a rep against Damon Wilson (10) below.

While Walker was working with the outside linebackers, his usual inside linebackers were going through drills with Glenn Schumann leading the way. Senior Smael Mondon (2) continues to nurse a foot injury that he underwent surgery on this offseason and watched from the side – albeit in full pads – as CJ Allen (3), Raylen Wilson (5), Chris Cole (18) and Justin Williams (19) were doing form tackling.
