October came and went with a zero in the loss column for the Georgia Bulldogs, and on the recruiting trail, the same felt true.

There were some ebbs and flows in the ranks of top players in terms of leanings, certainly, but the Dawgs kept a clean sheet when it came time for decisions for the most part.

2024 wide receiver Sacovie White of Cartersville, Georgia’s Cass High School kicked things off with his pledge on October 10, and while a three-star prospect might not excite those only concerned with rankings, the Bulldogs’ staff was plenty pleased to bring in one of the most electric athletes in the junior cycle.

And if that didn’t get you raising your eyebrow, you didn’t have to wait long for news that got fists pumping.

Roderick Robinson, a UCLA pledge since late May, spent his official visit in Athens watching the Bulldogs dismantle the Auburn Tigers and wasted precious little time following up the trip with a flip.

A four-star ball carrier from San Diego’s Lincoln High, Robinson brings a bruiser’s body (6-foot-1, 238 pounds) to the field but sprinkles in impressive footwork, great field vision, and speed and acceleration to spare.

Dell McGee made Robinson a top priority for the Class of 2023, unswayed by his commitment to the Bruins, and there’s no question the Georgia running backs coach had to be feeling good after the news.

Speaking of feeling good, there hadn’t been much in the way of positivity on the quarterback front for the Bulldogs until the emergence of Ryan Puglisi over the last couple of months.

A 2024 signal caller from Avon, Connecticut’s Old Avon Farms School, Puglisi burst onto the scene over the summer, earning offers from the Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Ole Miss among others with strong camp performances.

Todd Monken, however, zeroed in, even with at-the-time higher-ranked quarterbacks on the board still considering the Bulldogs, such as Julian Sayin and Jadyn Davis.

Georgia’s continued pursuit paid dividends, with Puglisi visiting for the Vanderbilt game and following up with a commitment soon thereafter.

His mobility, touch, and arm strength kept coaches drooling, and it didn’t take long for the rankings to reflect his prowess either, with Puglisi jumping to No. 39 overall in the 2024 On300 and becoming the nation’s No. 3 quarterback in the process. Safe to call that one a huge early win for the Bulldogs’ offense moving forward.

Finally, Georgia capped the month off with the long-awaited pledge of cornerback Chris Peal, a four-star prospect in the Class of 2023.

While the Bulldogs spent much of the summer trending, Michigan and South Carolina both made heavy runs at the Charlotte, North Carolina-based defensive back in the early goings of the season, and the Wolverines were considered a threat for a time.

In the end, however, Fran Brown, who’s been incredibly successful since his hiring, struck again and reeled in one of his priority targets for the cycle.

On the non-commit front, Georgia made gains with top names such as Jordan Hall, Duce Robinson, and Samuel M’Pemba and drew neck and neck with Ohio State for Damon Wilson, though the latter feels as though he’s trending toward the Buckeyes as of today.

The page has just turned to November, and with the creep toward the early Signing Day approaching, there’s no doubt more big news is on the horizon.

If it goes anything like October, it’s safe to say the Dawgs can walk away plenty pleased.
