Let's take a look back at Georgia's INSANE win over Ohio State
We got a couple winks of sleep and opened our eyes to take a fresh look at that Georgia Peach Bowl win. As if we needed an excuse.
Georgia’s victory over Ohio State is worth every replay and second look.
So that’s what we did on The Georgia Show.
I got to watch the game on the field.
Senior editor Jake Rowe and team reporter Palmer Thombs had perches up in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium press box.
And our recruiting guru, Jake Reuse, watched the game from section HD. Much easier (and professionally acceptable) to sip on New Year’s Eve beers that way.
Wherever you watched this one, I’m sure you needed your own version of liquid stress relief.
It’s all celebration suds for now, until the Dawgs meet TCU in the National Championship game a week from today.
So let’s soak it in. Watch and listen to everything we had to say on The Georgia Show (YouTube / Apple / Spotify) if you missed us live:
Taking another look at the key plays in this Georgia Peach Bowl win
There’s a cliché in NFL analysis that I believe is actually true.
Most games in the league come down to five or six plays. That’s it. That’s the difference.
It isn’t always that simple in College Football games, of course.
But with all of the NFL talent on the field when you see ‘Georgia vs Ohio State’ on the docket, it seems appropriate here.
We all took our own inventory of the plays that decided this one for Georgia.
Of course, there was Noah Ruggles‘s missed field goal.
But this one might not go Georgia’s way without a timeout, an official’s replay, a completely legal hit, and a Georgia receiver who paced his peers when Stetson Bennett struggled.
If you do want to play a drinking game with this show, tread lightly if you decide to make ‘Arian Smith‘ your buzz word.

Dawg Stocks report: everything is trending up, of course
Each Sunday show comes with a brand new Dawg Stocks report.
Sometimes the stocks are up, sometimes they’re down. This week, I think you know the trajectory.
I’m stock up on Sedrick Van Pran. After speaking with him this week, I have even more respect for a Georgia offensive lineman who already commands a lot.
Reuse is buying in to the Dawgs’ next and final opponent for the 2022-23 season. Get to know a little bit about TCU head coach Sonny Dykes toward the end of the episode if you’re looking for early analysis there.
Jake Rowe is bullish on the young faces who stepped up for Georgia’s front seven amid a run of untimely Dawgs injuries.
And Palmer Thombs is all about Georgia’s offensive leaders who stepped up after a ‘pow-wow’ during the game.
There’s a lot of Peach Bowl glow all over this episode outside of the analytical breakdowns. It’s a great week to be a Georgia Bulldog.
Just watch these people if you don’t believe me:
