Standout JUCO DL Seven Cloud commits to Georgia almost four years after first doing so
On January 7, 2021, a young, lightly known defensive lineman from Powder Springs, Georgia’s McEachern High School committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Now, almost four years later and through a seemingly winding road, that same young man is on the commitment list for the Dawgs once again. His name? Seven Cloud.
A 6-foot-4, 300 pound rising redshirt sophomore, Cloud announced his pledge to the Bulldogs on Saturday as part of a visit to Athens to watch bowl preparation.
Cloud, who’s been playing his collegiate ball at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas, becomes the fourth member of the Georgia Class of 2026, joining wide receiver Vance Spafford, cornerback Jonatavius Wyman, and tight end Lincoln Keyes.
At Butler, Cloud posted 48 tackles on the season, including 9.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. He also had three pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one recovery.
Despite the long journey to seeing his name back on the Georgia commitment list, it was clear that there was love for the Bulldogs all along.

“The weekend at Georgia was great,” Cloud told On3’s Steve Wiltfong of a visit to Athens in early October. “Loved it. Excited how much better the relationships with the coaches and some players are getting. Much love from the whole UGA fam.”
That echoed familiar sentiments Cloud shared upon being offered.
“I’m extremely happy right now and blessed to be back in the situation where I was before,” Cloud told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson. “I had to face a lot of adversity and a lot of backlash but I just kept my head down and kept working and I knew someday God would bring me back to what I wanted the most…(Coach Tray Scott) was calling to let me know that he was still proud of me and everything that I had come through and done over these past couple of years after decommitting from Georgia. He said he can’t wait to have me back and that he loves me and told me to keep grinding.”
Seven Cloud ranks nationally as the No. 6 prospect in junior college per the On3 Industry Ranking, and he is the No. 3 defensive lineman in the 2026 JUCO rankings per the same metric.
