Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett led the Bulldogs to a second straight National Championship on Monday, meaning he was back at Raising Cane’s to celebrate this week. After working a shift as a cashier and drive-thru attendant last year, Bennett did so again on Thursday.

The National Championship Game Offensive MVP threw for four touchdowns while rushing for two more in the 65-7 win over TCU, the final game of Bennett’s career. He became the first Georgia quarterback to throw for over 4,000 yards in a single season during the game and earned his fifth MVP honor (2021 Capital One Orange Bowl, 2022 National Championship Game, 2022 SEC Championship Game, 2022 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and 2023 National Championship Game).

Last year Georgia beat Alabama 33-18 in the title game, and Bennett made sure folks all over the country remembered when the total of an order came out to $33.18. This year’s game against TCU was a little bit more of a blowout, 65-7. Still, he found a way to work the score into the cost of some chicken.

Bennett’s second shift – and heroics on the football field – earned him a painting in the Athens location of the restaurant. Fans were also very excited to see him there today and took advantage of the chance to get their quarterback to sign National Championship memorabilia.

On3’s Pete Nakos wrote about the economic impact of Bennett’s success on the football field. After winning Georgia’s first National Championship in over four decades, Bennett decided to return to Athens for a shot at another. In doing so, he took full advantage of the feel-good story that was former walk-on turned National Championship hero.

“Since his first national title win, Bennett has started to tap into his NIL potential,” Nakos wrote. “The quarterback is represented by Everett Sports Marketing. He signed endorsement deals with FanaticsGeorgia PowerAARPSynovus Bank and Shuman Farms. And he added another in November, switching his nickname from the “Mailman” to “Milkman” as part of a commercial with the Georgia Dairy Alliance. Nearly every company he has done work with ties back to his home state of Georgia.”

Bennett has an NIL valuation of $1.3 million currently, ranking him No. 14 in the On3 NIL 100. Bennett is ninth among college football players headed into a spring where his focus will turn towards becoming the best professional prospect he can be.

Other Georgia Players Cashing In Too

Freshman safety Malaki Starks, who signed with Faryn Heatly of Everett Sports Management for NIL representation recently, was at Your Pie making pizza. Meanwhile Ladd McConkey and Gunner Stockton were posting on Instagram about Academy Sports+Outdoors, where McConkey will be on hand Friday for a meet and greet with championship merchandise shoppers.
