Stetson Bennett narrates first Georgia Football game trailer of 2022 season
Georgia Football released its first game trailer of the 20222 season Friday afternoon, and it’s a good one. Narrated by quarterback Stetson Bennett and based around head coach Kirby Smart’s quote at SEC Media Days, the video is titled ‘Hunters.’
“A new year, and a new brotherhood. Even with a challenging path ahead of us, our goal still remains the same,” Bennett says. “With high goals comes resistance. We hunt. We take. We don’t back down to a challenge. Today, our mind is set on one goal. But tomorrow, we attack the day.”
Georgia climbed to the mountain top in 2021 by winning the program’s first National Championship in 41 years. It came as a culmination to years of hard work put in by Smart and his staff. Now that they’ve got the gold trophy to show for it, it’s all about getting back there once again, and Smart made it known that his team would not be complacent with just one championship to its name.
“This program was built to be here for a long time,” Smart said. “We have an unbelievable footprint with which we get to recruit. So the five-hour radius of Athens, Georgia, gives us a chance to be around some of the best football student-athletes there are in the country. We’ll continue to recruit those, develop those. Also going nationally. But the team we have coming back, I’ve done the rounds this morning, I’ll bet you at least 50 people have asked me the question, so feel free when we open up for questions to ask me, the concern there is for complacency. That does not concern me in the least. To be complacent, you have to have done something and achieved something. The men on this team for this season have not done that. They have not. We had 15 players that have now gone to NFL camps or draft picks. They’re gone. We have some returning players, but they’re hungry as ever.”

“People ask the question, ‘How does it feel to be hunted?’ We will not be hunted at the University of Georgia. I can promise you that,” he continued. “The hunting we do will be from us going the other direction. We’re not going to sit back and be passive about.”
Georgia kicks off the season on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game ranked No. 3 in the country in both major rankings against the Oregon Ducks, who come in at No. 11 in the AP Poll and No. 12 according to the Coaches Poll. Kickoff time is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Georgia is a 17-point favorite over Oregon, who will be led by former Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning, according to Vegas Insider and its composite spread.
