Georgia will practice for the final time this week on Thursday. The players will get Friday and Saturday off do whatever they want. Some will see family and friends while others will stay close to the UGA football facility and get treatment over the weekend.
DawgsHQ, however, is back with you for another addition of The Georgia Show. Palmer Thombs and I dive into the bye week and how valuable it is for Georgia. Here’s the thing — you’ve never heard a coach say that the bye week comes at a bad time. It’s always coming at a great time and it’s no different for the Bulldogs as they enjoy their second one this season.
This UGA team is banged up and we discuss how deep the injuries go. There are some Bulldogs who aren’t missing time right now but area also a long way away from 100 percent. That goes for every team in the country but it seems to be focused on the lines of scrimmage for Georgia, especially the offensive side of the ball.
The bye week also gives Georgia a chance to see if it can expand it’s cast of characters. With some starters needing a chance to recover, its a perfect time for young players to get extra reps and potentially earn a role for themselves.

A look ahead to the World’s Largest Cocktail Party is in order. Florida head coach Billy Napier is doing a pretty good job trying to keep his job as the Gators have turned things around since starting the season 1-2. What is Florida doing to make all of this possible and how does Georgia matchup? Those are questions that get answered.
We also take questions from those watching the show live on YouTube. Those center around Georgia’s receiver situation, who’s. to blame for the drops, Carson Beck‘s health, and more.
