Fall camp is back

Georgia football took to the microphones and the practice fields on Thursday to open the 2025 fall camp season, and there was much to be garnered from the initial session. Kirby Smart had some strong words for the new additions to the staff, plus some mentions of who’s made big strides in the offseason. Those sentiments were echoed by several Dawgs throughout the session, particularly as it related to the likes of John Lilly and Phil Rauscher. Micah Morris was quick to point out how the newly minted offensive line assistant had been a major resource for the room, bringing his NFL experience to the staff.

Favorite Georgia preseason camp memories

It’s always a time for reflection when fall camp rolls around, and we were quick to dive in on some of the best times from the practice fields in Athens. If you’ve never heard the story of Jake Rowe being yelled at by Mark Richt, it’s a must, and Jeremy Pruitt certainly gave his fair share of highlights during his tenure. What about the time Jake Rowe and Todd Gurley both had to spring their cars from the impound lot? There are so many fun Georgia fall camp stories, and we brought a few in this episode.

Standouts from the day

The biggest focus of the day, rightfully so, was on how things looked on the Georgia practice field, and a few standouts certainly grabbed the attention of Jake Rowe along the way. Newcomers such as Josh Horton and Elo Modozie looked the part, the wide receiver room has added some much needed height, and how about that defensive front? Sounds like there have been some big strides there in terms of fitness. We didn’t give it all away (make sure to hit the practice report), but it’s clear that much was learned from the Dawgs in their first go on the field.

Will it be Georgia for Anthony Lonon?

Saturday could bring good news on the commitment front, with the Bulldogs waiting on news from standout defensive lineman Anthony Lonon. How do things sit ahead of the call and where are we leaning?
