The Georgia Show: G-Day approaches | 2026 decommit

Georgia set to host G-Day this weekend
The annual Georgia spring game is upon us, and there are some changes afoot in terms of ability to view the public red vs. black intra-squad scrimmage. While the Dawgs may not be airing this one on broadcast television, we’re diving in on what we’re expecting with Kirby Smart’s squad(s) on Saturday. Will the Dawgs attack it in similar fashion to the previous Smart G-Days? Will we learn much about the depth chart? Might the Dawgs shake things up a bit more than we’re used to when it comes to the alignments? Will there be plenty of passing to evalute between the likes of Gunner Stockton and Ryan Puglisi? We preview all of that and more with spring football oasis looming.
The Dawgs log a second scrimmage
Ahead of the big day, the Bulldogs were back between the hedges this past weekend for the second scrimmage of the spring, and Jake Rowe breaks down some of the insider notes he’s garnered along the way from the practice fields and within the confines of Sanford Stadium. Plus, we dive in on the battle between the offense and defense to this point with a look at how the G-Day game is setting up as a rubber match of sorts for the Bulldogs.
Georgia loses a 2026 commit
Kirby Smart and company took a hit to the recruiting ranks over the weekend, as four-star defensive back Jontavius Wyman flipped his pledge to the Miami Hurricanes. What does that mean to the class overall? Was this one totally out of left field, or has it been building for some time? Where do the Bulldogs turn at corner in this cycle as a result? We take a look at some of the key names you’ll want to monitor moving forward, as well as the possibility of how some newly freed up assets could potentially be rerouted.
