The Georgia Show: New titles, what's ahead, and your questions

Some shift in staff for the Georgia Bulldogs
We took last week off from The Georgia Show, but that doesn’t mean things were quiet on the Bulldogs’ front for the last couple of weeks. The big news? That’d be the changes among the ranks in Butts-Mehre. Former Georgia Tech defensive coordinator and Georgia analyst Andrew Thacker saw the Dawgs make a move to keep him on staff after some pursuit from the ACC. Now, he’s set to take the reins when it comes to the STAR/Nickel spot for the Bulldogs, giving the Dawgs another strong mind in the secondary. Elsewhere, James Ellis saw his star rise with a promotion to Director of Scouting for the Bulldogs, and given his long tenure in Athens and familiarity with the system, that shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. Lastly, we touch on a close and personal connection for Kirby Smart, as he has brought in a young Air Raid mind to the support staff in Ty Hatcher. The son of Chris, the current Samford head coach and man responsible for giving Smart his first collegiate opportunity, Hatcher has a well versed background already and should be an asset for the Bulldogs.
What’s ahead for Georgia pre-spring practice?
Spring practice is just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean the Georgia Bulldogs are resting on their laurels. Staffers and team members are gearing up in a major way for what’s ahead, including self scouting, the return of early morning runs, and much more. Rusty Mansell breaks down the entirety of what’s ahead for the Dawgs and how that can shape an all-important spring.
