The Georgia Show: Putting the finishing touches on a big visit weekend
Another day, another episode of The Georgia Show. It’s Monday, and that means that the DawgsHQ crew took to the airwaves of YouTube last night to talk the latest news in Georgia sports. With several of the top recruits in the country on campus this past weekend, that stole center stage.
Rusty Mansell, Jake Reuse and Jake Rowe break down what they’ve heard coming out of the weekend. It all started early on Saturday morning with a morning workout at Jefferson High School that featured five-star plus+ quarterback commit Dylan Raiola. Rowe was on hand to take it in – and has one hell of a story to share as he scrambled (literally!) to get there.
Then, the momentum made its way to the Georgia campus in Athens with the scavenger hunt where Todd Hartley’s tight ends tried to take the title for a third straight year. Hint: things went the way of Kirby Smart’s new five-star toy and the guys on his team.
Rusty, Reuse, Rowe and of course Chad Simmons spoke with as many of the recruits as they could coming off of the visit. We take to debating what the best thing said was.
Recruiting wasn’t the only thing we discussed! Last week, the topic of TCU’s 2022 season came up and we started to think, ‘Who could be this year’s TCU?’ Could it once again be TCU? Is there another team – possibly even one on Georgia’s “weak” schedule – that takes that crown?

So, instead of keeping the thoughts to ourselves, we discuss on the show. Wes brings Kentucky and Missouri to the table. A pair of former Georgia assistants had their teams discussed. There’s even blood from the Big Ten and Pac-12 in this conversation!
