The Georgia Show: Spring practice returns + Pro Day preview

Georgia spring practice returns
We’ve been teasing a return to the field for the Bulldogs for weeks, and now, it’s finally here. In what feels like one of the more uncertain offseasons in the Kirby Smart era, we’re diving in on some of the biggest looming questions when it comes to Georgia and how the spring will shake out. Which position group will we be watching most closely? Certainly there’s much to pay attention to when it comes to the offensive line and replacing some pieces lost to the draft and hoping to improve off of last year’s performance. Additionally, that quarterback battle is sure to draw eyes in a major way. But what about the defensive backfield? Malaki Starks and Dan Jackson aren’t walking through that door, and Daniel Harris had some up and down moments along the way too, didn’t he? Such being the case, there is going to be plenty of scrutiny on coaches. Who has the most to prove? We didn’t just talk Stacy Searels, for what it’s worth. Of course, there will be breakout players along the way, too. We dive in on a couple of names that could ease the mind of the Georgia faithful with a strong showing this spring. Lastly, we’re talking about that vaunted freshmen and how they can factor in. Outside of Elijah Griffin, who has our eyes? There’s plenty to get to, and we touch on it all.
Pro Day is upon us
Georgia has an important pro day for several guys this week, including the likes of Dan Jackson, Chaz Chambliss, and even Mykel Williams. Did Jalon Walker make the wrong move in skipping the combine now that he’s dealing with a quad injury? Who has a chance to show up and show out in front of the NFL’s best when it comes to a big day in the House of Payne? We’re looking at another chance for the Dawgs to prove they’re still the standard when it comes to development.
Georgia hoops should be dancing
Mike White and the boys closed out the season with an impressive four game winning streak, finishing 20-11, and despite an eleven seed for the Bulldogs in the conference tournament, it feels like the Dawgs are shoo-ins for the Big Dance. Can they get into the tourney and make some noise given how tough the SEC slate has been? We say…why not?
