Three rounds and 102 picks are in the books for the 2025 NFL Draft Georgia has had six players taken. Three Bulldogs were taken in the first round on Thursday night and three more were taken in rounds two and three on Friday.

Tate Ratledge, who spent five seasons in Athens, was got the ball rolling at No. 57 overall. Detroit selected the 6-foot-6 320-pound lineman and he was UGA’s first pick on the offensive side of the ball. That was it for Georgia in the second round but it wasn’t it for the offensive linemen.

Two more Bulldogs were taken in the third round and they, too, were interior offensive linemen. Dylan Fairchild came off the board at No. 81 overall with Cincinnati making the pick. Fairchild joins another Bulldog offensive lineman, Amarius Mims, with the Bengals.

A guy many thought might be taken in the second round, Jared Wilson, was picked next. New England used the No. 95 overall pick to select the one-year Georgia starter. Wilson signed with the Bulldogs in the same class as Fairchild but had to patiently wait his turn behind Sedrick Van Pran-Granger.

Each of Georgia’s day-two picks were on the Bulldogs roster in 2021 when they broke a 41-year National Championship drought. That brings the total of players drafted from that roster to 39 total. The all-time record is Alabama’s 2017 roster, which had 47 draft picks.

Georgia in the first round…

Most thought it would be Jalon Walker at No. 8 to Carolina. The Panthers did not select the North Carolina native and Mykel Williams ended up being the first Bulldog off the board.

He was taken No. 11 overall by San Francisco and that got the night started for the Bulldogs. According to 49er general manager John Lynch, the organization didn’t think that the Columbus, Ga. native was available.

“We were,” Lynch said when asked if he was surprised that Williams fell to his team. “We were hanging on. We thought there were a number of instances of where he might go and just kept watching the deal. Other guys kept showing up so that was a good thing for us. Really, really pleased with adding Mykel to our group.”

Walker didn’t have to wait long to hear his name called and the pick satisfied a large number of Bulldog fans. He was taken No. 15 overall by Atlanta, becoming the highest-drafted UGA player in the history of the Falcons’ franchise. Atlanta also traded back into the first round later to pick Tennessee EDGE James Pearce.

The Falcons get a guy who has led Georgia in sacks over the past two seasons. Walker has also played off-ball linebacker, won a Butkus Award, and served as a Georgia team leader.

Malaki Starks was picked No. 27 overall by the Baltimore Ravens, making it a banner night for the Bulldogs 2022 recruiting class. All three players inked with Georgia in that class and all three of them played three seasons in Athens before moving on.

Starks will pair up with Georgia native and former Notre Dame standout Kyle Hamilton in The Charm City. Starks was the only UGA player in Green Bay for the NFL Draft.

The final day of the 2025 NFL Draft will include rounds four through seven. It will get started at 12 p.m. ET and there are 11 more draft-eligible Georgia players on the board — Trevor Etienne, Arian Smith, Dominic Lovett, Xavier Truss, Smael Mondon, Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins Warren Brinson, Nazir Stackshouse, Warren Brinson, Chaz Chambliss, and Dan Jackson
