Tua Tagovailoa lost a National Championship bet, wears a Georgia shirt
Tua Tagovailoa beat Georgia in the 2018 National Championship.
More recently (and more significantly) than that, he lost a bet to a Georgia alum that cost him some pride and a tee shirt selection.
UGA alum Anne Noland (Grady grad 2015) works as the Miami Dolphins’ senior director of football communications.
She’s an Atlanta native who worked at Super Bowl LI.
Tua and 26 happened a couple years after she graduated.
Without this 2022 Georgia National Championship, Noland’s post-graduate football career looks pretty bleak.

Tua Tagovailoa didn’t win this time
Noland’s job is to communicate well. This bet required no extra information for the Dolphins’ starting quarterback:
If UGA beats Alabama, Tua Tagovailoa has to wear a red and black Georgia shirt.
Spoiler alert: Georgia beat Alabama.
Tua made good on the bet, but why did it take six weeks??!
I reached out to Noland and the Dolphins for a comment from Tua on his new Georgia shirt.
The former Alabama quarterback is yet to respond to me. And I know what all of the Alabama fans who see this post will say.
“Just wait until February 26.”
That’s the date which celebrates 2nd & 26, of course. Tua Tagovailoa and DeVonta Smith earned that moment! Congratulations to them.
Also, congratulations to Anne Noland. She and the rest of her fellow Dawgs fans have their own holiday to celebrate now:
February 18th.
Stetson Bennett and AD Mitchell also earned their moment.
And Anne Noland earned this bet.
