USC QB commit Julian Lewis expected to see Georgia this weekend
It was already shaping up to be a huge weekend for Georgia recruiting, and the list just got even more intriguing. That’s because four-star quarterback Julian Lewis, a long time USC commit from Carrollton, Georgia’s Carrollton High, is expected on campus for the matchup against Tennessee.
Georgia fans are no strangers to the nation’s No. 36 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, as the Bulldogs were heavily involved in Lewis’ recruitment until this spring. At that time with Lewis looking solid to the Trojans, the Dawgs pivoted to Ohio-based signal caller Ryan Montgomery, taking his commitment in mid-April.
Still, the connections run deep with Lewis and the Bulldogs on many fronts.
“All those guys that just got in have been my guys for a long time,” Lewis told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson in February. “KJ Bolden’s dad was my first real coach. There are lifelong relationships already. A lot of those guys are local and we’ve been in Georgia our whole lives. It’s been an easier connection than in most places.”

Of course, the Classic City and the coaches in it also held some sway.
“It’s always great going down to Athens,” Lewis said earlier this year. “Athens is a good town. The coaches down there show a lot of love. It’s the local college so it’s easy to get to. It’s always a great experience…it’s always a good time with coach Bobo. We just went in and watched some film and chopped up ball. It’s good to get to talk ball because that’s really all we do outside of football season.”
Currently, Julian Lewis is projected to flip his commitment to the Colorado Buffalos per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
On3 Scouting Report on Julian Lewis
Polished, productive signal caller with the skill set of an accurate distributor. Measured at 6-foot, 186 pounds with a 9 ⅜-inch hand at the On3 Elite Series prior to his senior season. Has been a touted prospect for some time, earning offers in middle school. Was initially a member of the 2026 cycle before reclassifying into 2025. A productive and efficient passer while playing in a high classification. Completed 66.4% of his passes for 3,094 yards (11.1 yards per attempt) and 48 touchdowns against two interceptions as a junior. Technically polished and is able to replicate his over the top throwing motion with consistency. Shows the ability to place passes without much variance in location. Quick and decisive decision-maker. Dangerous when working over the middle of the field on RPO’s. Effective at working off of play action. Operates at a high level when in a clean pocket. Plays in an offense that often leans on the quick passing game. The youngest top quarterback prospect in the 2025 cycle, turning 17 years-old a month into his senior season. Not physically imposing at this stage and arm strength registers on the lower end among highly-rated peers at the position after reclassifying. Primarily an in-structure quarterback – needs to improve his ability as a rusher (zero rushing touchdowns through two varsity seasons) and improviser against pressure in addition to size and play strength to hold up against contact in the pocket. A skilled, high-floor passer whose ultimate ceiling will be determined by the degree of his physical growth and improvement in athleticism and movement skills. – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings, on Julian Lewis
