Draft Kings recently released odds and lines for the 2023 football season, and theirs for Georgia have created plenty of discussion. Kirby Smart’s squad has a season-long win total over/under set at 11.5 with the juice only slightly going the way of the under meaning that oddsmakers believe there is a good chance the Bulldogs could be undefeated again come the end of the regular season.

Not only that, but Georiga is a pretty sizable favorite to take home a third straight National Championship. With +230 odds, the next closest team (Alabama) comes in at +550 followed by +650 (Ohio State) and +900 (Michigan).

When it comes to individual games, early lines have been released on four contests. Georgia is listed as a 24-point favorite over South Carolina (September 16th) and an 18.5-point favorite at Auburn (September 30th). Turn the calendar to October and November, and the Bulldogs are favorites over two of their biggest rivals: Florida (21.5-point favorites) and Tennessee (7.5-point favorites). Add in the crossover game with the SEC West against Ole Miss (19.5-point favorites), and you get an even clearer indication of what Vegas thinks of Georgia.

The Bulldogs have to replace Stetson Bennett at quarterback. It’s one of the biggest storylines of the offseason, not only in Athens but around the entire country. After all, the veteran quarterback took home two straight National Championships to end a 41-year drought for Georgia. However, his replacement isn’t expected to be much of a drop off.

Bennett was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. Headed into the 2023 season, Carson Beck – the presumed favorite to take over the starting job – is listed at +2000 to win the award while Brock Vandagriff – his biggest competition – comes in at +3500. Those odds are eighth and nineteenth in the country according to Draft Kings.

Tight end Brock Bowers (+10000) and wide receiver Dominic Lovett (+15000) also have odds. Bowers led Georgia in receiving last year with 63 catches for 942 yards and seven scores – 10 total touchdowns if you include his 109 rushing yards and three more scores on the ground – while Lovett led Missouri with 56 receptions for 846 yards and three touchdowns.
