It’s time for some Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate. No. 7 Georgia is set to hose unranked Georgia Tech in the 118th meeting between the two teams. The Yellow Jackets are coached by a guy who played for Tech and hates Georgia, Brent Key. Kirby Smart‘s last home game was a loss to the in-state rival, so the feeling is mutual.

The Georgia video team is doing it’s part to get us ready for the game with one of its best game trailers of the season. It carries the title “4th quarter mentality” and it’s a 70-minute feature that focuses on mindset, desire, and effort. Kirby Smart and other assistant coaches are featured in the video along with scenes from the 2024 season.

The Bulldogs are playing on short rest but they’re

“Of all the years we’ve been here, I think this is the first time we’ve had kind of a different schedule, timeline schedule for it like this” Smart said earlier this week, referencing the game being played on Friday. “So, our guys are excited. This is a huge matchup. This is an inner-state rivalry game that’s been part of history for a long, long time. And it is a physical game. It was a very physical game last year. It’ll be a physical game this year. I’m excited to be at home on a Friday night and looking forward to our crowd impacting this game. We need them to impact this game because we do have it at home.”
