WATCH: Hard hitting highlights of Georgia commit Tae Harris
Georgia added to its No. 1 ranked Class of 2025 this week. The Bulldogs landed the commitment of Cedartown’s Tae Harris. The 6-foot-0, 180 pound cornerback received an offer from Georgia earlier this month and already seems to have found his next home.
According to MaxPreps, Harris played in 15 games this past season as a sophomore, doing so on both sides of the ball and on special teams. Harris recorded 13 carries for 280 yards and three touchdowns including a 100-yard outing against Northwest Whitfield. That was sparked by a 98-yard touchdown run, one of three carries of 40+ for him on the year. Meanwhile, each of Harris’ four receptions went for 10+ yards totaling 92 and two touchdowns.
On defense, MaxPreps has Harris totaling 59 tackles (41 solo, 18 assisted), five pass deflections, two interceptions and one forced fumble. Twice did Harris have his season-high seven tackles, once in the first game of the year and again in the last. His interceptions came in back-to-back outings in September against Sequoyah and Calhoun while the forced fumble happened in November versus Stephenson.
Here’s what Harris had to say on social media when announcing his commitment:
“I would like to thank God for blessing me with this great opportunity. A special thank you to my mama for her support and all the sacrifices she has made. Without you, I would’ve be the strong man I am today. I would like to thank all the coaches heavily for pushing me and for believing in my craft. Thank you for your patience and the time you have invested in build a relationship with me. Thank you to my family and friends through this long journey for the encouragement and love. With that being said I am very blessed to announced I’m 100% COMMITTED TO FURTHER MY EDUCATION AND FOOTBALL CAREER WITH UGA….GO DAWGS!!!”
Harris is the sixth commitment for Georgia in the Class of 2025. He joins Machester defensive lineman Justus Terry, a top-25 player in the class according to the On3 Industry Ranking, and Buford linebacker Jadon Perlotte, the No. 37 overall recruit and No. 3 player for his position, on the defensive side of the ball. Meanwhile, Georgia’s offensive class for 2025 already has four commits with Camden County tight end Elyiss Williams, the nation’s No. 1 player for his position, Vigor (Mobile, Ala.) offensive tackle Micah DeBuse and Imhotep Institute (Philadelphia, Penn.) running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman.
Georgia also has the No. 1 class for 2024, one that’ll come to campus even sooner. Headlined by five-star plus quarterback Dylan Raiola, the Bulldogs have 20 commitments before the month of June is even more. Raiola is joined by five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson, top-100 players in linebacker Demarcus Riddick, tight end Jaden Reddell, wide receiver Ny Carr, safety Jaylen Heyward, safety Peyton Woodyard and cornerback Demello Jones.

Harris also continues a pipeline that’s been created between the Cedartown Bulldogs and Georgia Bulldogs.
Linebacker CJ Washington committed to Georgia in the Class of 2022, and while he’s since been removed from the roster after an unfortunate injury during spring of his freshman season, expectations were high for him.
Furthermore, Cedartown product Nick Chubb ranks as one of the SEC’s top running backs ever, helping Georgia to an SEC Championship in 2017 and the program’s first appearance in the College Football Playoffs.
