WATCH: Highlights of five-star EDGE, Georgia commit Isaiah Gibson

Georgia has been working hard to land the commitment of five-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson, and on Monday, those efforts paid off. The Warner Robins, Ga. native announced a pledge to the Bulldogs less than a week after de-committing from USC. Gibson ranks as the No. 27 overall player and nation’s top-ranked EDGE according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
Last season at Warner Robins, Gibson led the Demons in sacks (17) and pressures (55) while earning All-Region selection and All-State honorable mention. Warner Robins advanced to the quarterfinals just a year after making an appearance in the state championship game during Gibson’s sophomore season – one in which he totaled 33 tackles, 24 pressures and six sacks.

The 6-foot-3, 263-pound product of the Peach State is Georgia’s 15th commit in the Class of 2025. He is the third that holds a five-star rating according to the Industry Ranking, joining tight end Elyiss Williams and linebacker Zayden Walker. Both, like Gibson, rank as the No. 1 player at their respective position. Georgia is also in strong pursuit and a top contender for the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle (David Sanders) and defensive lineman (Elijah Griffin) after signing three players that ranked tops at their position last class (CB Ellis Robinson, LB Justin Williams, S KJ Bolden).
Scouting Summary
Isaiah Gibson is a complete monster and physical freak. Gibson is a broad-shouldered 6-foot-4, 240 pounds with an absolutely absurd 7-foot wingspan. Gibson’s length for his height is genuinely incredible and it allows him to consistently initiate contact by striking his opponents first and keeping them at a distance which allows him to essentially displace blockers with minimal resistance. Combine his length with his tremendous movement skills and you have a disgustingly high upside prospect at the EDGE position. During the spring camp circuit prior to his senior season he flashed fluidity and loose hips when turning the corner and working through individual position drills. When you turn the film on you see an explosive rusher whose motor allows him to constantly apply pressure to opposing offenses.
