WATCH: Highlights of new Georgia commit Jadon Perlotte
Georgia added the commitment of 2025 linebacker Jadon Perlotte on Thursday, and his highlights show why the Dawgs would want to be in early on the Buford, Ga. native. Coming in at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, Perlotte is ranked the No. 3 linebacker in the country and No. 35 player overall according to the On3 Consensus.
Perlotte is the second commit for Georgia in the Class of 2025 joining Philadelphia, Penn. running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman who committed in July. Perlotte chooses Georgia over the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oregon.
Perlotte’s Hudl highlights show hard-hitting ability including a pair of sacks while also having the athleticism to make plays in space like his two interceptions for the 11-1 Buford Wolves, among the top-ranked teams in the country.
The commitment of the nation’s No. 3 linebacker – even if it’s a ways away down the road – continues a hot streak for Georgia inside linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann. In his seven seasons manning the position, the 32-year-old has two Butkus Award winners to his name and a finalist for this year’s award that theoretically could win. Quay Walker, Nakobe Dean and Channing Tindall were all three selected in the first three rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft this past spring, the sixth inside linebackers to be picked since Kirby Smart and Schumann showed up on campus in 2016.

Furthermore, the future is bright. Jamon Dumas-Johnson and Smael Mondon have been two of the best linebackers in the country in their first year starting while Jalon Walker has shown signs of success as just a freshman. Schumann has also done an outstanding job on the recruiting trail with three of the top-10 linebackers in the Class of 2023 alone currently committed.
Georgia coaches and staff are currently in the thick of things putting the finishing touches on the Class of 2023, a group that currently sits at No. 2 in the country behind Alabama. Among the most recent commits in the class is five-star EDGE Samuel M’Pemba who announced his intentions to be a Bulldog earlier this week. Georgia’s four-highest rated commits currently (M’Pemba, AJ Harris, Joenel Aguero and Raylen Wilson) are all on the defensive side of the football. The Early Signing Period for the Class of 2023 begins on Wednesday, December 21st with major targets still on the table including Damon Wilson, Jordan Hall and Daniel Harris, all three of whom are on the defensive side of the ball as well.
