WATCH: Highlights of new Georgia commit Rasean Dinkins
Georgia secured a flip it had long been chasing on Monday morning, with Warner Robins safety Rasean Dinkins spurning the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech in favor of the Dawgs. Dinkins had been committed to Tech since early June, but the Bulldogs remained in hot pursuit of the do-it-all defender throughout, kept the pressure on, and managed to best the in-state rival for his services.
A 5-foot-10 and a half, 185 pound safety, Dinkins becomes Georgia’s fourth defensive back commitment of the 2025 cycle, but he brings a physicality to the spot that may be unmatched on the Bulldogs’ commitment list or any other for that matter.
In addition to his duties patrolling the back end for Demons, Dinkins also serves up a healthy dose of positional versatility, playing corner, nickel, running back, and wide receiver as needed.
That, paired with the reckless abandon he brings to the fold, is more than evident when watching his work on tape.

Dinkins joins fellow defensive backs Jontae Gilbert, Todd Robinson, and Jaylan Morgan on the Georgia commit list for the cycle and likely projects to safety or star for the Dawgs at the next level.

Georgia suffered a blow at defensive back on Friday, losing touted cornerback Shamari Earls to Michigan, but the Bulldogs are still on the hunt for his replacement, eyeing the likes of Alabama commit Dijon Lee, Auburn commit Donovan Starr, and recent Clemson decommit Graceson Littleton as potential replacements at the moment.
Regardless of the Earls loss, the Dawgs were chasing Dinkins in a major way and were more than pleased to add the three-star safety.
Rasean Dinkins currently ranks as the No. 346 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. He is the nation’s No. 33 safety and No. 47 overall prospect in the state of Georgia per the same metric.
