WATCH: Highlights of new Georgia QB commit Ryan Puglisi
Georgia picked the commitment of 2024 quarterback Ryan Puglisi out of Avon, Connecticut’s Avon Old Farms School on Sunday. The fast-rising three-star quarterback held offers from the likes of Georgia and Alabama, both of which he camped at this summer, as well as Ole Miss, Michigan State and West Virginia.
Puglisi’s most recent highlights on Hudl are from last season and can be found below:
Puglisi was on campus this weekend to visit Georgia and saw the Bulldogs beat visiting Vanderbilt 55-0 on Saturday. He made his commitment official on Sunday.
Currently, Puglisi is ranked No. 357 overall in the 2024 On3 Consensus, in addition to being the nation’s No. 27 overall quarterback and No. 4 prospect in the state of Connecticut.

Puglisi’s relationship with the Bulldogs was a major key in the decision.
“I talk to all those guys a ton, probably at least three, four times a week,” Puglisi recently told On3’s Chad Simmons. “So I think the communication ever since Sept. 1 has been tremendous. Really excited about that one.”
“I know it sounds cliché, but when you know, you know,” he added. “…I think being surrounded by good people, obviously an explosive team where I’m gonna get developed (are) definitely some things that are gonna be weighing in on my commitment. Those few things are something that’s big. It’s gonna help me make my decision.”
Puglisi becomes Georgia’s fifth commitment of the cycle, joining wide receivers Sacovie White and Ny Carr, No. 1 tight end Landen Thomas, and four-star running back Tovani Mizell in a class that’s currently ranked No. 1 in the country.
“He’s got a lot the measurable qualities that are going to be there for a Power Five or a high level quarterback. He’s over 200 pounds and play multiple sports. Ryan is not necessarily a running, but he’s got escapability and plays shortstop and is probably a draftable prospect as shortstop and relief pitcher. Overall, he has a strong arm and really compact release. Can throw around 93 miles per hour and throw the ball over 70 yards… I’ve coached in college for years and he’s got as good of an arm as multiple NFL quarterbacks that I’ve been around. If you put him next to anybody throwing the ball and there’s not going be someone blowing him out of the water throwing the ball.”
