Watch Kevin Kisner go full-Bulldog on St. Andrews at The Open
Kevin Kisner engaged full-Bulldog mode on day three at The Open. Even across the pond at St. Andrews, it ain’t no hobby for this Dawg alum.
Kisner flirted with the cut line for much of the second round, and brought an even score card into the weekend.
Then, he got movin’ on moving day.
Kiz opened with three straight birdies out of the gate. A casual golfer like you or me may have quit at that point, and just gone for a celebratory spring on St. Andrews’s West Sands beach.
But Kisner isn’t there to recreate ‘Chariots of Fire.’ He’s there to roll putts like this.
And this. He shot a six-under front nine for a 30. Then two bogeys slowed him down a little, but not enough to keep him out of the top 10 by the end of his round with a -7.
Kevin Kisner was candid about his chances to win The Open, even after all that ‘drip drip’
The thing is, even with his round of 65, the big dogs still hadn’t taken the course by the time this Bulldog finished up.

If it rolled like that for Kevin Kisner, one can assume that the leaders a few strokes above him on the leaderboard will just separate themselves even further.
A self-aware Kisner summed up his thoughts on their rounds. If this rings true, he’s got a shot.
But this looks like a low, low weekend at The Old Course.
A lot can happen between now and Sunday afternoon at St. Andrews.
All Kisner can do is follow the advice of his buddy Kirby Smart, and Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing.
Keep Choppin’ Wood.
Think about What’s Important Now.
You get the picture. It’s the Year of the Dawg. Nothing will surprise me. These Dawgs won’t soon forger this trip to The Old Course:
