'Why wait?' 2025 four-star LB Jadon Perlotte commits to Georgia
Buford (Ga.) 2025 four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte didn’t see the need to wait on his commitment. Perlotte, the No. 35 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Consensus rankings, is the second player to commit to Georgia in 2025 cycle.
Georgia has been his dream school for Perlotte for much of his life. Perlotte’s latest visit to Athens was the tipping point for him. He was in attendance for the Bulldog’s home finale against Georgia Tech.
“That’s always been my dream school and I’ve always been a big Georgia fan,” Perlotte said. “I was at the Georgia Tech and game and I saw their fans and everything, there weren’t any open seats. They were playing Georgia Tech. When I went in there to talk to the coaches and they were like ‘the time is coming’. They showed me a lot of love. I got back home that night and I was ready.”
Georgia has been on the mind of the four-star linebacker a lot lately. The Bulldogs brought home the first SEC title since 2017 on Saturday. They landed a big commitment from five-star edge Samuel M’Pemba on Sunday after the win over LSU.
Perlotte felt the timing was right. He’s known for a while but the iron was hot.
“Georgia is at their peak right now,” Perlotte said. “They’re probably set for the next couple of years. They just got a new commitment from Samuel (M’Pemba). I was like, maybe it’s time for me to go. Why wait? I can do it now.”

Jadon Perlotte will be a major recruiter for Georgia
Perlotte’s family has always loved Georgia. His aunt attended Georgia. His father spent a lot of time in Athens watching the Bulldogs as a fan.
He’s not going to hide his love for the Bulldogs moving forward. Now that Perlotte is committed, he’s going to attempt to sell everyone who will listen on making the move to Athens.
Perlotte has a few teammates in mind already. KJ Bolden and Eddrick Houston are both major Georgia targets in the class of 2024. Perlotte says he’s going all-in on trying to convince his teammates to meet him in Athens.
