Will Muschamp vs Kirk Herbstreit and the Dawgs' Peach Bowl edge
If you had ‘Will Muschamp’ on your Peach Bowl Week story bingo card, then congratulations. Coach Boom is an early candidate for quote of the week.
His zinger at Kirk Herbstreit made our latest episode of The Georgia Show, among other more pressing matters.
How healthy is Ladd McConkey, really?
How active will Georgia still be in the Transfer Portal?
What makes Ohio State different than Tennessee?
Ladd McConkey should play in the Peach Bowl
DawgsHQ senior editor Jake Rowe filled us in on that already, based on the word we received from Peach Bowl practice.
The question is – how healthy is the guy?
Ladd McConkey will be able to play as much as his body will let him. And by all of head coach Kirby Smart’s accounts, he’s a workhorse who ignores the pain.
Georgia’s staff has to hold him back from giving maximum effort every day, otherwise he’d burn himself out on his own.
So his pain tolerance is the factor here.
No matter how much McConkey goes, AD Mitchell‘s return couldn’t come at a better time. And even more significant still – Ohio State is yet to defend a Darnell Washington and/or a Brock Bowers.
The Dawgs’ Peach Bowl edge and the Transfer Portal
If Georgia has one edge against Ohio State, it has multiple.
One of them is the Dawgs’ proximity to Atlanta, and not from a crowd noise perspective.
If you’re Kirby Smart and Georgia, you have to appreciate the ability to start a game week like normal with one practice in Athens before heading to Atlanta for Peach Bowl practices.

It’s one of those minute, marginal details that doesn’t appear like much. But it may just be the perfect way to start a ‘different’ kind of game week, while Ohio State has to deal with the rigamarole of travel.
Ohio State does things differently with its bowl prep, and we dive into that during our conversation on the show.
The Buckeyes also do things differently than Tennessee does. I’ve seen some fans assume that one elite offense = a different elite offense.
But we tell you why it ain’t that simple. It never is.
Speaking of complicated things, the Dawgs’ Transfer Portal situation is ongoing. And we aren’t just talking about Smoke Bouie.
