2026 3-star linebacker Jacob Savage commits to Indiana

Indiana football has continued its hot recruiting week, landing another commitment out of the 2026 class in the form of linebacker Jacob Savage.
Savage, a native of Union, Kentucky, announced his commitment to the Hoosiers on Friday via his social media.

A 6-foot-1, 219-pound linebacker, Savage ultimately picked the Hoosiers over the likes of Michigan State, Louisville, Minnesota, Purdue and a handful of others.
This past season at Ryle High School, Savage played both sides of the ball — although he’s expected to play linebacker for the Hoosiers at the collegiate level.
Earlier this month, Savage was back in Bloomington to visit Indiana, telling On3 his visit “went great” and that Indiana’s “winning program and great culture really interests me.”

“Winning culture for sure, and the relationships I’ve built with Coach Haines and the conversations with Coach Cignetti have been great and really impressed me and my family,” Savage said in early April.
Now, on the back of his Friday commitment to Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers, Savage is part of that culture.

Indiana’s 2026 recruiting class currently features five commits following Savage’s pledge. Savage is joined by four-star athlete Henry Ohlinger, three-star offensive lineman Samuel Simpson, three-star defensive lineman Rodney White and three-star defensive back, and the top ranked player in the state of Indiana, Kasmir Hicks — who committed to Indiana earlier on Friday.
