Indiana has announced the details for its upcoming preseason tour in Puerto Rico. The Hoosiers will play three games from Aug. 6–11 on the island, giving IU a chance to get some competition a few months before the 2025–26 regular season begins.

“You don’t treat them like you would a regular season game, but it’s still an opportunity to get out and play and get a feel for how guys react to opponents that aren’t in the same jerseys we’ve been going against for eight straight weeks. It’s been really a nice luxury for us to have,” head coach Darian DeVries told reporters on Wednesday.

Indiana’s schedule is as follows (All times ET):

Wednesday, Aug. 6 , 7 p.m.
Indiana vs. Universidad de Bayamón (Puerto Rico)
Coliseo Guillermo Angulo; Carolina, P.R.

Saturday, Aug. 9 , 7 p.m.
Indiana vs. Mega Superbet (Serbia)
Coliseo Roberto Clemente; San Juan, P.R.

Monday, Aug. 11 , 11 a.m.
Indiana vs. Mega Superbet (Serbia)
Coliseo Guillermo Angulo; Carolina, P.R.

While most of the roster is at full strength heading into the action in Puerto Rico, a few Hoosiers’ availability remains in question.

Both international signings, Aleksa Ristic and Andrej Acimovic, have yet to practice with the team, while Acimovic still has yet to arrive in Bloomington. TheHoosier.com can confirm that Ristic has joined the team, but hasn’t yet participated in team activities.

On the two Europeans, DeVries said he didn’t have a clear sense of who will be available.

“I wish I had a more clear-cut answer for you. We’ll kind of let that play out as we get closer. We are pretty close. But we still have a few more days here. We’ll see what the availability is of everybody.”

Two Hoosiers who have been practicing with the team are also dealing with injuries. Nick Dorn and Jason Drake have been sidelined during practice, and DeVries provided an update on their status Wednesday.

“The timeline on both of them is a little up in the air, I guess. We’ll see where that leads. We’re obviously hopeful that both of them will be back in a relatively good timeline. But I don’t anticipate — with Nick, especially — that would be something more in the fall. So we’ll see how that shakes out as we move forward.”

With the Puerto Rico trip fast approaching, Indiana will get some live game action for the first time this season, although fans won’t be able to watch live. Tickets to see the preseason tour are on sale, giving fans an opportunity to see their team in person before the season starts.
