Indiana basketball has landed a familiar face in the Darian DeVries system as DePaul guard Conor Enright committed to the Hoosiers from the transfer portal.

Indiana beat out Iowa for Enright.

Enright spent the 2024-25 season at DePaul where he averaged 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists a game. He played just 23 games after suffering a shoulder injury in early February that kept him out the remainder of the season.

Enright was seventh in the Big East in assists before going down with his injury. He had nine games with 8+ assists, including two games with 11 assists.

The 6-foot guard is the true definition of a point guard and distributor. He is a pass-first guard who showed he was one of the better facilitators in the Big East, with an assist rate of 37.5 percent. For reference, Trey Galloway had an assist rate of 29.9 percent. Also, all-time IU leader in assists, Yogi Ferrell, never had an assist rate above 29 percent.

While Enright is a terrific playmaker, he also struggles at times turning the ball over. He had 10 games with 4+ turnovers last year, and averaged 3.1 turnovers a game.

Enright is a strong driver, however. He uses his body to create contact in the paint and force his way through defenders at the rim. A relatively crafty finisher, Enright can be a bit out of control at times when he’s attacking the basket.

He shot just 32.5 percent from three this season but shows a good ability to knock down shots from the outside, just at a streaky rate. He made at least one three in 18 of the 23 games he played last year. He had an effective field goal rate of 64 percent on catch and shoot opportunities, ranked in the 94th percentile.

Before DePaul, he spent two seasons at Drake under DeVries and averaged 5.5 points and 2.4 assists per game in 68 games.

During his sophomore season at Drake, Conor Enright shot 43.9 percent (43-of-98) from three, making 1.3 3s a game. He made one three in 25 of 33 games and had an effective field goal rate on catch and shoot opportunities of 66 percent, ranked in the 95th percentile. He also ranked int he 94th percentile, scoring 1.33 points per possession on spot up shots.

Another notable positive is the control Enright had in DeVries offensive system. During his sophomore season at Drake, Enright had a 2.4 assist-to-turnover ratio. Last year at DePaul, he was at 1.9.

Enright has one year of eligibility remaining.
