Sam Houston transfer guard Lamar Wilkerson, one of the top guards in the portal, is planning his visits after the dead period ends.

Wilkerson plans to visit Indiana, Kentucky, Auburn and Ole Miss, according to On3 national recruiting analyst Joe Tipton.

The dead period runs through Thursday, with visits being allowed starting on Friday.

On Monday, On3 national reporter Pete Nakos put in a prediction for Indiana to land the talented guard with ‘medium’ confidence.

Indiana was the team gaining a lot of momentum entering this week, but over the last 24 hours Kentucky has been the team that has gained a lot of steam, according to multiple sources.

Wilkerson averaged 20.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game this season and was an All-CUSA selection. Wilkerson ended the year leading the league in scoring (21.2 ppg) and scored 20+ points in half of the league games.

Wilkerson is a terrific shooter — what he’s known for. He shot 44.5 percent on 3.4 made 3s a game last season and ranked fourth nationally in 3s per game and in three-point percentage.

In 95 career games, Lamar Wilkerson is shooting 40 percent from three on 2.1 3s a game.

Wilkerson had 18 points and was 2-of-4 on 3s against Indiana this season at Assembly Hall.

Lamar Wilkerson has one season of eligibility remaining. He is ranked the No. 36 transfer in the On3 rankings. He is also the No. 8 overall shooting guard.

Indiana has landed DePaul guard Conor Enright, West Virginia wing Tucker DeVries and Davidson forward Reed Bailey from the transfer portal.
