The Indiana basketball roster is nearly put together following an extremely busy first month for head coach Darian DeVries. But, one incoming transfer is also on the NBA Draft early entry list.

The early entry list was released on Tuesday afternoon and Troy transfer and newly committed Indiana guard Tayton Conerway was among the 106 players listed. He has until May 28 to formally announce his decision to stay in the draft or return to school.

The expectation is he will return to Indiana and this is used as a way to gain feedback on a potential professional career.

Tayton Conerway was the Sun Belt Player of the Year this past season after averaging 14.2 points, 4.8 assists and 2.9 steals a game. He shot 47.1 percent from the floor but struggled only shooting 27 percent from three and 66.4 percent from the free throw line.

Conerway is a tough, physical 6-foot-3 guard who is a true leader on both ends of the floor. He’s best at playing in the paint offensively, and a terrific on and off ball defender on the other end of the floor. He ranked 2nd and 3rd in steal percentage in the NCAA over the last two years and was first in the Sun Belt in both win shares and overall box +/-.

The NBA Draft Combine takes place in the middle of May from the 11-18. The final invite list for the combine will be announced in the next two weeks.

The 2025 NBA Draft will be held June 25-26 in Brooklyn, NY
