The Indiana women’s basketball program landed a big time commitment from a former five-star prospect.

On Saturday night, it was announced that UCLA forward Zania Socka-Nguemen has committed to Teri Moren and Indiana.

Socka-Nguemen is a 6-foot-3 forward out of Silver Spring, Md. She did not play very much in one year with UCLA and was a part of the team that made it to the final four this past season. Sh saw a total of 82 minutes with the Bruins only averaging 1.5 points a game.

She was on the Indiana women’s basketball as the Hoosiers recruited her pretty hard. She was ranked No. 26 in the ESPN Top 100 for the Class of 2024.

She eventually chose UCLA over Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, and many others.

She is the third commitment out of the transfer portal this offseason for Indiana. She joins Phoenix Stotijn (Arkansas) and Chloe Spreen (Alabama) as a part of this transfer portal class for Indiana women’s basketball.
