Indiana women’s basketball had landed a commitment from Virginia transfer forward Edessa Noyan. Noyan becomes the third addition via the transfer portal for Teri Moren and the Hoosiers this offseason, as Indiana aims to retool it’s roster ahead of the 2025-26 season.

This past season, Noyan appeared in 26 games for the Cavaliers, starting 23 of them. Noyan averaged 5.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game this past season. She shot 40.7% from the field and 32.8% from 3-point range—on 2.2 attempts a game—during the 2024-25 season.

A native of Sweden, Noyan scored in double-figures in five games this past season, including a pair of 16-point performances against Coppin State and North Carolina.

This offseason, Teri Moren and the Hoosiers have been tasked with replacing four starters. 2020 Indiana Miss Basketball Sydney Parrish, Chloe Moore-McNeil and Karoline Striplin have all exhausted their eligibility. Additionally, Yarden Garzon has left for Maryland this offseason.

Noyan joins former Indiana Miss Basketball and Alabama transfer Chloe Spreen, as well as UCLA transfer Zania Socka-Nguemen. Noyan has two years of eligibility remaining.
