Addie Deal is happy to finally be at Iowa
The path for Addie Deal landing at the University of Iowa to play basketball wasn’t the conventional one. In fact, in some ways, it was Deal that initially recruited Iowa more than the other way around. Deal, who was a five star prospect out of high school and grew up in California, first started to get interested in the Hawkeyes during his freshman year of high school.
She ended up committing early to Iowa and stuck with that commitment even after Lisa Bluder retired. Deal spoke to the media in Iowa City for the first time since she arrived this summer and went back in detail about her path to Iowa, if it’s been what she hoped it would be when she picked the Hawkeyes, and the relationship she has developed with her teammates this summer.
