Allgeyer makes college decision
Highly sought after offensive tackle Lucas Allgeyer has made his college decision. The 6-foot-6, 280-pound St. Louis native just announced that he is headed to the University of Iowa after giving his verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes.
Allgeyer, who made his official visit to Iowa City this weekend, has a family connection to the university as his cousin Nick Allgeyer played baseball for the Hawkeyes and his uncle Ken Allgeyer played football for Hayden Fry. Overall, the trip impressed him, especially how the team welcomed him in as one of their own.
“The people really made up my mind,” Allgeyer told HawkeyeReport.com. “At the end of the day, it comes down to fit and where you feel like you belong.”
