This could be a big week in the record books for Caitlin Clark, as she sits just 66 points away from breaking Kelsey Plum’s scoring record. As for the Iowa women’s basketball team, they are set to host the Penn State Lady Lions at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Thursday night. The Hawkeyes are coming off a hard-fought win over Maryland on the road last Saturday. The win boosted them to 21-2 overall and 10-1 in Big Ten play, while they jumped up a spot to the #2 in the AP Poll on Monday.

On Wednesday afternoon, assistant coach Abby Stamp met with the media in what she said was her first time speaking in a press conference since she played for the Hawkeyes from 2005-2008. Stamp talked about the matchup with Penn State, the tough matchup against Ashley Owusu and going up against an up tempo team like themselves. She also talked about being around Lisa Bluder as both a coach and a player, including what has or hasn’t changed about her over the years.
