No one was more pleased with the rebounding effort the Hawkeyes displayed on Saturday than assistant coach Jan Jensen. She said that throughout the week leading up to their game against Colorado, the 21 offensive rebounds they gave up in last season’s Sweet Sixteen was brought up. In the Hawkeyes win over the Buffaloes, they won the rebounding battle 43-34, while Hannah Stuelke did not allow a single offensive rebound from center Aaronette Vonleh. Iowa pulled down 15 of 19 defensive rebounds (78.9%) and 8 of 18 offensive rebounds (44.4%) in the second half.

Jan Jensen met with the media after the game to discuss the win, the teams rebounding and defense, as well as looking ahead to LSU and not letting the outside noise get in at this time of the season.
