CJ Bell makes college decision
Talented cornerback CJ Bell has made his college decision. The 6-foot-1, 168-pound Bell, who attends St. Thomas More in Connecticut, announced his verbal commitment to the Iowa coaching staff tonight after wrapping up his official visit with the Hawkeyes.
A lockdown corner with great size and ball skills, Bell earned scholarship offers from Iowa, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Penn State, Boston College, Minnesota, NC State, Maryland, and Tennessee, among others, during the course of the recruiting process.
“I think CJ is the best corner in the Northeast,” said St. Thomas More head coach Ernest Anderson. “His combination of length and speed is elite. He’s a twitchy young man with great feet. What separates him from most are his eyes. CJ has great eyes. He’s also a great teammate and a humble young man who is one of the faces of our program.”
Overall, Bell is commitment No. 11 for the Hawkeyes as he joins Thomas Meyer, Carson Cooney, Joey VanWetzinga, Jimmy Sullivan, Burke Gautcher, Eli Johnson, Drew MacPherson, Mason Woods, Cameron Herron, and Lucas Allgeyer in Iowa’s recruiting class of 2025.
