It’s only a matter of time before Ben Kueter makes his name known on the collegiate wrestling stage. As a true freshman last season, Kueter got his feet wet, wrestling in four matches, including a 5-1 win over 11th-ranked Konner Doucet of Oklahoma State. He announced over the summer that he was going to skip the upcoming football season in order to focus on wrestling and competed at the U20 World Championships in Spain. Kueter earned a Silver Medal, falling to five-time World Champion Amirreza Fardin Masoumi Valadi (Iran) 4-2 in the finals.

On Thursday afternoon, Kueter met with the media to discuss his experience at the U20 Worlds and what he took from competing there, as well as his decision to skip football season to focus on wrestling.
