In-state kicker Caden Buhr is walking on at Iowa.

In-state kicker Caden Buhr has made his college decision. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Bettendorf native announced today that he has accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity from the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Buhr, who chose Iowa over UNI, will be enrolling at semester this month and is excited to work with special teams coordinator LeVar Woods and live out his dream of playing for the Hawkeyes.

“My decision was just about Coach Woods and the way he approaches special teams,” Buhr told HawkeyeReport.com. “His coaching and process will set up for great success.”

“Growing a Hawkeye fan, you always dream of walking out in Kinnick Stadium, so to be able to get the opportunity to play for the Hawkeyes is pretty special,” he said.

Ranked No. 25 in the country by Kohl’s Kicking, Buhr shows a strong leg on film, which allowed him to make a 57-yard field goal this past season and send 28 of his 31 kickoffs into the end zone for a touchback.

Iowa’s Class of 2025 Walk-Ons:

QB Ryan Fitzgerald – 6-foot-3, 205-pound QB from Wilmette, IL

DB Rayce Heitman – 6-foot-2, 190-pound DB from Williamsburg, IA
