McNamara confident in improving offense
Cade McNamara is used to a large number of media members looking to ask him questions. He experienced that while quarterbacking the Michigan Wolverines. Now he’s in Iowa City getting ready to lead the Iowa football program and the first impression is he does not lack confidence.
The new Iowa quarterback hasn’t run from the fact that the Hawkeye offense struggled. He’s firm in his conviction that he’s going to help to fix that this fall and if he can’t he’s going to keep trying until he does. He discusses building relationships with his teammates and how he called Cooper DeJean a “freak” and going into Phil Parker’s office to see if he could get the cornerback on the offensive side of the ball for a few plays a game.
