Caitlin Clark selected to the WNBA All-Star Game roster

Although Caitlin Clark did not make the Team USA Olympic roster, she will get her chance to showcase herself against them in the WNBA All-Star Game. The league announced on Tuesday evening that Caitlin Clark was one of the 12 players selected to the WNBA All-Star Team. They will face off against Team USA in a unique version of the All-Star game on July 20th at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.

Caitlin joins Angel Reese, Aliyah Boston, Rhyne Howard and Napheesa Collier as the only rookies to make the All-Star game over the last five seasons.

The WNBA All-Star Team includes Caitlin Clark, Allisha Gray, Kayla McBride, Kelsey Mitchell, Angel Reese, Arike Ogunbowale, DeWanna Bonner, Aliyah Boston, Dearica Hamby, Brionna Jones, Jonquel Jones, Nneka Ogwumike.

Through 20 games this season, Caitlin is averaging 16.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. She ranks second in the WNBA in assists (138), second in made three-pointers (56), second in minutes played (685), tenth in total points (323) and 12th in defensive rebounds (104). The Fever currently have an 8-12 overall record and sit in the 8th place, which would earn them a spot in the playoffs if the season ended today.

Clark recently became the fastest player in WNBA history to eclipse 300 points, 100 rebounds and 100 assists. She is also the only rookie in WNBA history to average 15 pts/10 ast over any span of games, averaging 15.7 points and 10.7 assists over the last three games. Caitlin is on track to break the rookie record for assists and made three-pointers, while she is on track to finish inside the top five for most points scored in a rookie season.
