Carter Kingsbury looks forward to game close to home
Carter Kingsbury grew up in Nebraska. So with the Hawkeyes playing against Utah in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Saturday, it’s a chance for the veteran former walk-on guard to play in front of friends and family.
Kingsbury spoke to the media on Thursday afternoon about the upcoming game and the chance to play in front of my family and friends who will be making the trip. He also talks about his journey to Iowa, which included a stop at Brewster Academy during the Covid season and how he reacted when Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery told him he was on scholarship. He also shares stories about his dad, the legendary Chris Kingsbury.
