Week one of the Iowa football season is in the books and there’s plenty to talk about with former Iowa All American quarterback Chuck Long. We discuss what he saw in the first start for new quarterback Cade McNamara. What did Long think of his first start? How much of the playbook is limited due to his injury? How does a coach handle injuries like this in terms of keeping them healthy and then getting them out of the game to stay healthy.?
We also discuss Iowa’s early game plan versus into the second and third quarter when Iowa was done with their script of plays. We also look at the focus on the Iowa tight ends and if there needs to be more focus on the wide receivers moving forward.
Finally we look ahead to the Iowa State game and if it will be lower scoring along with a pair of strong defenses and we talk about week one stories in the rest of college football.
