Cooper DeJean waiting to make NFL decision
Many players who would be in Cooper DeJean’s situation might have already made their NFL decision. The All American defensive back is currently still on crutches with a broken lower leg and won’t be playing in the bowl game, so he could easily just declare for the draft and begin to move on.
But, DeJean is different. He couldn’t have imagined three years ago that he would be in this position. Heck, he wasn’t sure that he would even be able to play at the high D1 level. Now he’s a unanimous All American and if he were to come back one more year, he could end up with his name on the Kinnick Stadium press box as a two time All American. He’s heard that could happen and is thinking about it as he weighs his options regarding returning for one more year.
