Iowa specialist stronger and looking to make bigger impact

There is an argument to make that the Iowa football team has the best combination of punter and field goal kicker in the Big Ten. Drew Stevens bounced back from a rough ending to his sophomore year to have a very strong junior campaign. Meanwhile, Rhys Dakin lived up to expectations last year as a true freshman where he was a first year sensation at the punter position.
We visited with both specialists on Thursday morning in Iowa City to discuss both of them hitting the weight room, particularly Dakin, who is very proud of the fact that he has put on around 20 pounds of muscle and how it is helping him improve his leg strength. Both also talk about how they are adjusting to a new long snapper and a surprising new player who is the backup long snapper.
